Parish groups at St. John the Beloved include the Women’s Council, St. Joseph’s Society, Knights of Columbus, Legion of Mary, Mother’s Group, Seniors Group, Pro-Life Committee, and Youth Ministry.
Parish activities include an annual Fall Festival, Christmas Bazaar, Mardi Gras Celebration, Parish Music Concert Series, and the St. John Beloved Sunday Lecture Series.
An important part of Catholic education is learning the importance of service to others. When students take part in service activities, they demonstrate the values and faith they gain through their Catholic education. At Saint John Academy, community service provides students with the opportunity to exercise their baptismal call to love and serve others. Students participate in service activities including: Baby Bottle Campaign to support two pregnancy support centers; Winter Coat Drive; Lenten Food Drive; blanket making for the organization Children of Incarcerated Parents; and selling flags for Veterans Day with proceeds going to the Wounded Warriors organization.
